Humboldt walks the mile for domestic violence awareness
They held their own and there were no broken ankles. The second annual PARTNERS Walk a Mile in her Shoes saw 46 men from all across Humboldt walking in red high heels to raise awareness about domestic violence.

The Humboldt and District Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation hosted the JDRF Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes on Jun. 12 to great success as there were 130 walkers who raised $35,250.

Sizzler week begins with a strut
Runners and walkers were busy on June 12 as the Humboldt Community Trails Committee hosted the sixth annual Sizzler Strut. This year the strut saw over 100 runners taking part in the 5km and 10 km runs.

On Jun. 9, men of Humboldt walked a mile in red high heel shoes in support of ending domestic violence. And the numbers are scary. In 2013, Saskatchewan’s rate of domestic violence was 30 per cent higher than any other province.
