Mayor Malcolm Eaton, along with city staff, addressed possible solutions to flooding issues at a public meeting on Sept. 14. The massive rain fall of July 28 left a lot of homes with flooding and sewage backup problems.

BUNKO: Nick The death of Mr. Nick Bunko, 88 years, of Humboldt occurred on Friday, August 28, 2015. Nick was born to John and Alice (nee Demko) on December 17, 1926. He was the the 8 th child out of 10. Nick went to Mount Carmel school.

In its season opener, the Humboldt Collegiate Institute football team avenged last year’s provincial AA championship game loss. On Sept. 4, the Mohawks downed the Clavet Cougars, 27-14, in nine-man action at Glenn Hall Park.
