The Humboldt SPCA held its fourth annual Dog Days in the Park on Aug. 15, where dogs of all breeds and ages (and their humans) came out to Water Ridge Park to socialize with other dogs and dog owners.

A lot of people have hobbies. Some collect stamps, some take photos, some do artwork. Then there are people like Albert Schreiner and Jane Lakness who go riding around in old speeder rail cars.

Infamous pickup artist and misogynist writer Roosh V hasn’t been having a good time in Canada.

Canada has long had a reputation in the world marketplace for producing a high quality wheat. It has in essence been this country’s ace in the hole in terms of marketing wheat even in times of low prices.

I’m not even halfway through my 20s, and yet I never feel older than when I hear about people making hundreds of thousands of dollars from doing very little online.

It has been 10 years since I graduated high school in Annaheim. It has been eight years since I worked at the Reid-Thompson Public Library and Prairie Perk Coffeehouse. But now, I am finally back in Humboldt.
