Emergency services charity ball surpasses previous year in fundraising
The totals have been tallied and the figures counted. The Humboldt Emergency Services charity ball raised just over $10,000. “We had a sellout crowd, which was really nice to see,” said Mike Kwasnica, fire chief of the Humboldt Fire Department.

Broncos win two close games, earn home ice in first round
The Humboldt Broncos wrapped up their Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) regular season by taking care of business. The squad went 2-1 last week. The Broncos fought hard to earn an overtime victory last Friday and sewed up a playoff spot.

Melfort shelter will aid Humboldt women
It’s been a long road for the Northeast Outreach and Support Services (NEOSS) domestic violence shelter in Melfort, especially since progress was derailed in a November fire. Now, they’re looking at an opening date of February 2016.
