KING: Josephine Brigida December 3, 1923 - May 29, 2014 The death of Mrs. Josephine "Josie" Brigida (nee Doherty) King of Bethany Pioneer Village, Middle Lake, SK, occurred at her residence on Thursday, May 29, 2014. She was 90 years of age.

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 28 led a Decoration Day ceremony on June 1 in Humboldt. Reverend Al Hingley started the ceremony at the City of Humboldt Public Cemetery by leading everyone in the Pledge of the Royal Canadian Legion.

KRAMER: Kenneth Frank January 1, 1929 - May 27, 2014 The death of Mr. Kenneth Frank Kramer of Bruno, SK, occurred at St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon, SK, on Tuesday, May 27, 2014. He was 85 years of age.

DOTSCHKAT: Ervin Rudolph March 6, 1962 - May 15, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected death of Ervin Rudolph Dotschkat of LeRoy, SK, on Thursday, May 15, 2014. He was 52 years of age.

BOLSTER: Florence Martha September 26, 1931 - May 12, 2014 The death of Mrs. Florence Martha (nee Loessl) Bolster of Saskatoon, SK, (and formerly of Humboldt, SK), occurred at St. Paul's Hospital, Saskatoon, on Monday, May 12, 2014.

EBERL: Peter Francis December 17, 1922 - May 9, 2014 The death of Mr. Peter Francis Eberl of St. Mary's Villa, Humboldt, SK, occurred at Humboldt District Hospital, Humboldt, on Friday, May 9, 2014. He was 91 years of age.

GAILLARD: Norma Jean Norma Jean (Rice) Gaillard was born on February 25, 1947 to Sidney and Marie Rice. She grew up on the family farm in the St. James area until 1965 when she moved to St. Brieux to raise her own family.

Erik Gardiner was sitting in class when he found out that being drafted into the Western Hockey League (WHL) was a family thing.

The Saskatchewan High School Athletic Association (SHAA) provincial badminton championships were held in Warman on May 10.

For some of you who don't know, this is my final editorial for the Humboldt Journal, as I'll be moving back to Halifax next week to get married in August, settle down and make a life along the East coast.
