Every Tuesday morning the Meota Hobby Band practises at the Do Drop In and last Tuesday there were more guests in to listen, than usual. This was the last time that one of their group would be taking part while still a resident of Meota.

Curling history dates back to 1928

The Meota Curling Club was formed in 1928. The club possessed no rink and no rocksbut members were determined to play. The skating rink ice was marked off for their first games.

Duos what can I say about our Duos Night? It was truly fun, fun and more fun. Hats off to the ladies who sang with their partners. Great job, ladies. But a little scary; just ask me. Close to 100 people joined us March 15 in the Maymont Hall.

Spring arrived for a brief visit. There were a few muddy boots and pants during the week as students jumped in the puddles. Students were also still skating and playing broomball on the ice, so spring has not completely taken over the activities.
