The Juno Beach Centre Association hosted its ninthannualProfessional Development Program for Educators with a passion for Canadian military historyfrom July 28 to Aug. 6.

Cecilia Leona Gaudette (Coons) was born on July 31, 1941 to Cecil and Lena Coons (Ouellette) at Battleford. Shortly after, the family moved to Prince Albert where they lived for two years.

As of today, Sept. 3, the kids are back in school. Many high school students register today with classes tomorrow, but, officially they are back.

Part of the last paragraph of one of my news items in last week's paper was left out. Harry leaves his wife of 61 years, his sister, Helena, sisters-in-law Evelyn Janus of Mission B.C.

Aug. 21 - Tillie Linkert spent Tuesday in Lloydminster with her daughter Shirley. They enjoyed doing some shopping. Rose Danychuck had her granddaughter Lindsay de Bussac of Oyen, Alta. visit for the weekend.

Paynton has seen many changes in the last while. Recent changes include new staff at the Paynton post office.

Variety is what Light of Christ Catholic School Division offered its teachers for their first week back in school.

The Battlefords Art Club's last kick at summer drew painters out to create interesting works and say goodbye to the holidays at the Don Ross Centre Tuesday. We look forward to a wine and cheese evening with a show and sale Friday, Nov.
