Remembrance Day observed at HHS with readings, wreaths
Staff and students paid their respects to the soldiers who participated and continue to participate in military action throughout the world, Nov. 8. This year the flag bearers who escorted Legion members into the gym were Donald and Morgan Miriam.

Shovels well used already this season
The big news these days is the weather. Remembrance Day morning, the thermometer read -24 C. As the day progressed we enjoyed a sunny day. The hoar frost and snow on the trees made beautiful scenery. There was no wind.

Thanksgiving brings a round of visitors
Hi there! Well it does look like winter around here now. We had about a foot of snow a week ago very cold winds. I'm afraid this is just a taste of what's about to come, folks. However, even if it's cold outside it has been nice and warm in Tower II.

Grand opening service for replica of church
The grand opening of the mini St. Bridget's Anglican Church was held Oct. 7 at the cemetery grounds. The church bell rang a few minutes before the opening. It was a cool, cloudy, windy day, but almost at the stroke of the 3 p.m.
