Staff and students paid their respects to the soldiers who participated and continue to participate in military action throughout the world, Nov. 8. This year the flag bearers who escorted Legion members into the gym were Donald and Morgan Miriam.

Several members of the Battlefords Art Club used their artistic abilities to paint on the large mural the club is creating for the City of North Battleford's 100th anniversary celebrations in 2013.

The big news these days is the weather. Remembrance Day morning, the thermometer read -24 C. As the day progressed we enjoyed a sunny day. The hoar frost and snow on the trees made beautiful scenery. There was no wind.

Clythemane Shorthorns - Glenn, Sheri, Duncan and Rachel Sutherland of Borden - did well in the purebred shorthorn classes at the Saskatoon Fall Fair, Nov. 7 to 10.

Citizens of Neilburg and Marsden area remembered the sacrifice of the many veterans from this district at the annual community Remembrance Day ceremonies Nov. 11.

A number of events at the senior centre have been cancelled lately due to bad weather or too much snow in the parking lot. Oct. 22, Cribbage was played with high score going to Dorothy Schwartz and low to Eva Inkster.

Halfway through November and is it just me or does it already seem like winter has been too long? Nov. 7 was only 19 days from our first snowfall Oct.

It seems hard to believe but we are only six weeks from the shortest day of the year! Now this is a November to remember, with a lot colder temperatures and a lot more snow than the last few years at least.

Hi there! Well it does look like winter around here now. We had about a foot of snow a week ago very cold winds. I'm afraid this is just a taste of what's about to come, folks. However, even if it's cold outside it has been nice and warm in Tower II.

The grand opening of the mini St. Bridget's Anglican Church was held Oct. 7 at the cemetery grounds. The church bell rang a few minutes before the opening. It was a cool, cloudy, windy day, but almost at the stroke of the 3 p.m.
