With harvest in full swing, bare fields are gradually appearing. Most crops have been or are being swathed. Let's hope the weather continues to be favourable for the harvest operations. Gardens are also being cleared now they are dry enough.

It's in its third year. The concert series organized by Lisa Hornung and Jaya Hoy, who both grew up in North Battleford and have enjoyed international musical careers, starts its third season Sunday, Sept. 16.

Seniors gather for supper, entertainment

Seniors got together in Maymont for an afternoon of entertainment and a potluck supper. Seniors from Borden, Radisson and surrounding areas joined the Maymont seniors. The seniors gave great reviews about the entertainment and the food.

Polkafest a huge hit

The annual Hafford Polka Festival is held the second weekend in July in the Hafford Communiplex. The festival hosts great polka music provided by some well established local and prominent musicians.

School's centennial celebrated

Baljennie Community Centre was packed full, when close to 80 people attended a special event held Aug. 25. Baljennie School was built and opened its door for classes in August 1912. It was time to celebrate the school's 100th year.
