The snowmobile rally March 10 at Borden has been cancelled due to lack of snow, but the Borden Community Centre Preservation Committee will still be having a ham supper from 5 - 7 p.m.

For those who have known me for a long time, it would come as no surprise if I was to say I have struggled with my weight for some time.

Hi there! It doesn't seem possible we are into March again. To me February has passed by so quickly. In fact I think I have been glued in front of the TV most of the time watching curling. Now this month I am off to the Brier in Saskatoon.

Belated birthday greetings to Eva Sutherland of Pine Island Lodge. Feb. 25, the family members including her daughter, Grace Flewell of Poplar Ridge near Red Deer, Alta., celebrated her birthday at the lodge.

Sunday was a spring-like day with lots of sunshine, temperatures above zero, melting of the snow that fell the night before and the usual slush and mud underfoot.

This week the Maidstone High School basketball teams have been busy. The senior girls' basketball team will be hosting their annual basketball tournament. They played Paradise Hill and won their league.

The Old Mill Players cast and crew of Mayfair drama club performed Those Crazy Ladies in the House on the Corner Feb. 18 and 19 and Feb. 25 and 26 in the Mayfair Community Hall. This marked the 12th year of performances by the group.

In February, Country Corners 4-H Club had speeches. Winners who advanced to regional speeches Feb.

Gillian Pearson and Michelle Dunning are a dynamic Blaine Lake duo taking their musical and drama experience to another level.

I would like to thank everyone who comes to fundraisers, jam sessions, potlucks and other events in support of Maymont Memorial Hall. Someone asked me what a fundraiser is.
