Artist retreat an opportunity to explore

The Chapel Gallery's annual Artist Winter Retreat is scheduled for Friday, Feb.24 through Sunday, Feb. 26 and features a number of new events. This is your opportunity to work in the gallery alongside other artists.

The Chapel Gallery's annual Artist Winter Retreat is scheduled for Friday, Feb.24 through Sunday, Feb. 26 and features a number of new events. This is your opportunity to work in the gallery alongside other artists. Bring your work in progress and spend quality time in a creative and supportive environment. This three3-day event is free to members with the gallery providing tables, chairs and coffee. Artists can immerse themselves in their work and invite feedback from other participants.

There will also be workshops each day. Adult Pinatas, Painting on Silk and Basic Digital Photography workshops are available and open now for registration. There is a registration fee attached to each workshop. There will also be a video series presented during the lunch hour of each day for those who want to take part in a guided conversation about the inspiration behind art.

Saturday, Feb. 25 from 7 to 10 p.m. will be the Galleries Members' Gala: An Evening of Appreciation and Celebration. Current and new members will enjoy entertainment, refreshments and a talk by Heather Smith about the Campbell Tinning exhibition.

The Chapel Gallery is located in the Don Ross Centre at 891 - 99th St. and is open from noon to 4 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday. For more information please contact the Chapel Gallery at 445-1757. Support is provided by the Saskatchewan Arts Board and the City of North Battleford.
