Crown Hill 4-H Beef Club held their annual Christmas potluck and cookie making day in Blaine Lake, Dec. 16. It started off with a yummy Christmas lunch enjoyed by members and families, and then all the members had to get to work.
The moms helped with the dough and we did everything else. We made and decorated over 700 cookies - gingerbread, chocolate chip and double chocolate. The cookies were then sorted and bagged to be given away. They were given to everyone who supports our club by buying steers from us at the Junior Ag Show Case in July at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon. We had lots of fun eating, decorating and playing while cookies baked and cooled.
We would also like to thank everyone who supported our club by buying meat from our Prairie Meat fundraiser. We sold over 400 items and raised money for the club and club activities. It was a great success so we will be doing it again in spring with their barbecue menu.
