Sandy Fisher of Quilter's Paradise conducted a quilting retreat at Waseca Community Centre March 24. It was full day for the 12 participants learning how to construct a new quilt. Some of the speedier sewers had almost finished a quilt top by the end of the day. Others will be doing "homework." Quilters came from as far as Kitscoty and Turtleford to enjoy the quilting, the visiting and the great lunch.

Sunday evening, March 25 members of the committee that planned and headed the 2011 Waseca 100th birthday celebration met for one final reflection on the events leading up to and following the celebration. The committee members thoroughly enjoyed supper and a visit. Thank you to the members who worked to make the evening so enjoyable.
