Jay Babineau was honoured by his family on the occasion of his 75th birtday.

A very successful surprise birthday party was held April 21 to celebrate Jay Babineau's 75th birthday. To make the surprise complete one of his brothers, Emile and wife Diane Babineau, and a sister, Rita and husband Dick Frenette, came from Bathurst, N.B. Another sister, Yvette and husband Ray Berthelot, of North Battleford was here also.To make the surprise even more wonderful, one of his nieces, Sonia Prince from Nashua, N.H. came to celebrate also.

An afternoon of visiting and a birthday supper made the day complete. As he loves woodworking, a nine by 13 foot plywood cake was made and decorated and brought out for him to make the first cut, unaware that it was a fake cake. After trying a few cuts and then realizing it was made of wood, a lot of laughs and pictures were taken. The real cake was then brought out to make the day complete.

Kayla Grey, happy 13th. On your 13th birthday we wish you much pleasure and joy. We hope all of your wishes come true. May each hour and minute be filled with delight, and your birthday be perfect for you!

Child Find Saskatchewan: Just think how you would panic if you lost your wallet or a set of keys; just think how a parent panics when their child is lost. May is Missing Children's Month. I would like to thank the local businesses in North Battleford that donated to Child Find Saskatchewan's Green Ribbon Dinner.

I would also like to thank Don Atchison, mayor of Saskatoon; the minister of justice and attorney general, Don Morgan; Saskatoon Police Services, Saskatchewan Federation of Police Officers and everyone else who attended this event.

Child Find Saskatchewan assists in locating missing or abducted children and reuniting them with their lawful parents or guardians. They advocate on behalf of missing and exploited children and create public awareness through educational programs for children and adults. Their programs and services are offered free of charge. This is made possible by activities such as the Green Ribbon Dinner, and support from the communities. The Green Ribbon Dinner places the spotlight on the search for missing children as we observe Missing Children's Month in May across Canada and the United States. Anyone wishing to make a donation to Child Find, please call 1-800-513-3463.

Check out the website Child Find Saskatchewan for more information.

A missing child is everyone's responsibility.

Here's hoping you all had a very happy Mother's Day.

Mrs. Dumont, feel better.
