Trade show hosted in new rink facility

Edam's Craft and Trade Show took place Oct. 29, in conjunction with the Edam Fall Fair, in Edam's new rink facility. Having never been to this building before, I was impressed - especially with the two-tiered playroom for toddlers.

About 20 vendors were set up in Edam's new rink facility for a craft and trade show Oct. 29.

Edam's Craft and Trade Show took place Oct. 29, in conjunction with the Edam Fall Fair, in Edam's new rink facility.

Having never been to this building before, I was impressed - especially with the two-tiered playroom for toddlers. My two-year-old just loved it.

The show had approximately 20 booths, which I am told is significantly less than other years. Nevertheless, there were all kinds of businesses represented: candles, wool, pottery, skin care products, photography, kitchenware, clothing accessories, jewelery and more.

The consensus from the booth holders I spoke to was that it was a good turnout, but it wasn't a "purchasing crowd." Sales were down from previous years, they said. But, as one optimistic booth holder commented, "you never know what seeds you're planting at these things."
