Marleen and Frank Gabrielle of Rosetown were visitors with Rose Danychuk. Their granddaughter was playing hockey here. Rose felt really honoured to have them visit her as she had taught Frank in 1947. That's a few years ago.
Sunday, Dorothy Kissick helped her great-granddaughter Elle celebrate her first birthday.
Saturday Colleen Koski was at the Pine Island Lodge to help her mom celebrate the Christmas social.
Sharon Rudd took, Jean Stewart, Tillie Linkert and I to Waseca Sunday to the Christmas service. It was most enjoyable and the music was terrific. We visited with our neighbours and had a lovely lunch.
Tuesday morning was Christmas carols at the Pine Island Suites. We hope they all had a Merry Christmas and the best in the New Year.
It hardly seems possible that 2013 and I wish a peaceful happy new year to all who read my news and to the staff at the Regional Optimist. I will be away in British Columbia with my daughter and family for January and February. I'll be back on the job in March.
Aaron Grimlay, wife and little boy from overseas in Dubai are here visiting and will be here until the new baby arrives.
