Windstorm cleanup continues

Clean up from the windstorm of July 17 still continues. As well as damage to bins and other buildings, many trees were taken down. The last few days it has been possible to work in the garden where weeds have been growing profusely.

Grant Forrest and Les Graham and family hosted a Forrest family reunion. The three-day event began July 30. Over 80 members registered with people travelling from British Columbia and Alberta. Monday, the final day, began with breakfast.

Home for the Foreest reunion were John and Colinda Evans and son, Logan, of Calgary and Joanne and Ben Rawlinson of Kelowna, B.C.

Helena Pike travelled to Rosthern with a carload of friends to attend the performance of Jasper Station at Rostherm's Station Arts Centre. Among the cast was her grandson, Mark Oddan.

Gully Gus says, "The world owes us nothing - it was here first."
