Workshop highlights self reflection

As part of the national Culture Days initiative, the Chapel Gallery is hosting a workshop with current exhibitor, Leah Dorion. Art Making as an Act of Self-Reflection runs from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 in the Chapel Gallery.

As part of the national Culture Days initiative, the Chapel Gallery is hosting a workshop with current exhibitor, Leah Dorion.

Art Making as an Act of Self-Reflection runs from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1 in the Chapel Gallery. Leah will lead participants through the process of expressing personal, cultural and community stories. She will discuss combining your ideas with art, writing and other media. Participants will create their own circle book using individual reflections.

This is your opportunity to work with a well-known artist, author and educator to learn new ways to improve your own art. Registration cost is $10 and space is limited to 20 participants. Call the gallery to register.

There will also be a reception at the Chapel Gallery, Oct. 1 from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Country Wives will be on exhibit until Oct. 16.
