Battlefords Union Hospital Foundation Monthly Lottery tickets will be available starting Tuesday at the BUHF office. Lottery tickets are $104 each, with only 1,200 being sold.

Hockey teams wrap up seasons

Hockey teams have finished their regular season and now are involved in playoffs. Mark and Morgan Thomarat have been playing with the Maidstone senior Jets. Brody McFadyen has been playing in minor hockey.

The Battlefords Art Club members are fortunate to rent such a bright, sunny room at the Don Ross Centre. It inspires us to create acrylic, watercolour, drawings and zentangle (meditative doodling).

The temperature Sunday evening was -27 C and it sounds as though there will be no let up in the cold weather for several days. During the cold weather the birds keep themselves busy and their feeders empty quickly.
