Borden Friendship Club meeting was held May 8, with president Lottie Petriew presiding. The club is inviting other clubs for supper June 11 at 5 p.m. and a program to follow.

What would it be like if you woke up one day and you couldn't wiggle your toes? What would you do? The students at North Battleford Comprehensive High School heard first hand about exactly what that experience is like.

It was a good week for members of the Battlefords Art Club. The warm sunny weather has brought out everyone with new enthusiasm and we have been busy not only painting, but discussing plans for future events.

Farmer resident of Baljennie, James Bailey passed away April 28 in Saskatoon Veterans' Senior Home. James had celebrated his 90th birthday with all his family on hand, Feb. 14.

Blaine Lake Wapiti Public Library was honoured to celebrate its 40th anniversary with the community of Blaine Lake April 27.

Approximately 20 participants joined in the first self defence class for women held in Wilkie May 5. The class was put on and instructed by Bev Barth who runs the Wilkie Karate Club. The class was free of charge and ran from 2-4 p.m.

On April 13 several members of the Notre Dame CWL attended the Dioceson CWL convention in Paradise Hill. April 28 a pro-life banquet was held at St. Joseph's Church Hall with a few of Notre Dame's members attending. This year's guest speaker, Dr.

Well so far Rabbit Lake is staying high and dry. Sump pumps are working but seem to be keeping up pretty well. We certainly think of our neighbours at Maymont, Radisson and Borden.

Spring is finally here even though it feels more like summer, which is causing a few problems around the countryside. Even though many places are flooding, drought is hitting other areas.

The H Hardcastle Royals Drama Club held their 24th annual drama night April 30. Desserts, contributed by the parents of the drama club members, were served at intermission. This year there were two plays presented.
