Today I went to the cupboard and brought out the box marked "Phyllis Diller." Phyllis is gone and I want to refresh my memories of the times I became Phyllis Diller. My grandmother, Mary Keiper, started it all.

Edmonton: I have to say I like this city and it can't be solely because one of my children lives here. I've never found a direct route to her house. Many times, I've told myself I should just pretend she lives in Sherwood Park.

As you can tell for the last little while we have traveled to many places and enjoyed many outings. This weekend we were in Hafford at their Summer Sizzler. There was a buzz around the town and all the volunteers were busy.

Borden Co-op held a yard sale Aug. 18 with a fundraiser chili and bun lunch, with proceeds going to the Community Centre Preservation Committee.

Michael Brokop retiring next week

Michael Brokop, who has curated the Chapel Gallery for the past six years, is retiring next week. For his retirement, the gallery will be hosting a "come and go tea" August 28 at 2:30 p.m. at the Chapel Gallery.

Two years of hard work,fundraising and loads of paperwork to do came to an end Aug. 12 when the United Church of Cut Knife dedicated their new addition and elevator to God with a church service and a scrumptious potluck lunch afterwards.

Culture Days representatives attend to discuss ideas for event

National Culture Days have been discussed at different times with interested people taking part. This year's national Culture Days will take place Sept. 28 to 30.
