The Borden Seniors' Club held a Kaiser Tournament on March 22, with a good turnout from Borden, Langham and Radisson. Winning cash for high hands were Art and Doreen Flath and Jean Hryniuk.

The Hafford Cheremka dance club held its annual end-of-year dance recital March 18 in the Hafford Central School gymnasium. The club was established 40 years ago and began with 67 students, some of whom later advanced to become instructors.

Local curler, Wanda Heitt, curling as part of the Darlene Gillies representing Saskatchewan at the Canadian Senior Women's curling championships in Abbotsford, B.C. the week of March 16 to 25 held an impressive 5-1 record as of Day 4.

If you were able to attend the Battlefords Kiwanis Music Festival Gala March 23rd, culminating months of Festival planning, you were treated to a contrasting range of musical performances.

The Mayfair Recreation Board will present a Nashville Stars Night April 14 at the Mayfair Hall. MC will be Kolin Bulmer. The house band will be led by Dave Hiebert and company.

Congratulations to Alisdair Ramsay-Mackenzie who recently received a $50 prize at the Battlefords Kiwanis Music Festival for his sacred reading entry in the speech arts section.

John Paul II's SADD group held their annual Students Against Drinking and Driving week. The week was organized by the dedicated students and staff members of SADD.

The scene is set for fun this weekend at Milleton Hall as the North of the Gully Drama Club presents Virgil's Family Reunion. The play is described as "a hillbilly farce in two acts" and is part of a series by Eddie McPherson.

Sandy Fisher of Quilter's Paradise conducted a quilting retreat at Waseca Community Centre March 24. It was full day for the 12 participants learning how to construct a new quilt.

Tillie Linkert was a Friday visitor in Lloydminster. Dale and Debbie Kennedy of Lloydminster were here Sunday to visit Theresa Kennedy and took her out for a drive. Saturday, Dorothy Kissick enjoyed watching the Jets hockey game.
