Thursday Oct. 14 was spirit day at Maidstone High School. The theme was "tight and bright." Students looked forward to this day with excitement and wore lots of bright neon clothing such as tight leggings, headbands and jewelry.

With support from the Saskatchewan Arts Board's Culture on the Go pilot program, the White Birch Ballet Company is performing in North Battleford at Chapel Gallery Saturday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m.

This year, l'Association Jeunesse fransaskoise (AJF) organized a leadership camp, which was held at Redberry Camp Sept. 14 to 17.

Thirty-four quilters and soon to be quilters met in the craft room at Don Ross Centre at 7 p.m. Sept. 7 for a business meeting of the Rivers' Edge Quilt Guild. It was nice to welcome new members as well as meet quilting friends not seen since June.

The North Battleford Comprehensive High School Debate team went to their first debate of the year at the University of Saskatchewan Oct. 1. For this tournament the debate team consisted of two teams and coach Lynne Thompson.
