Battlefords Union Hospital (BUH) Foundation's Festival of Trees is fast approaching, with festivities from Thursday, Nov. 25, to Saturday, Nov. 27 at Gold Ridge Centre.

Battlefords Jazz Society is kicking off a new season Nov. 6 with a cabaret featuring Kamila Martel and the Ne'erDoWells. The group is described as a Saskatchewan original. It is a pop, gypsy, blues and roots rock band with an innovative sound.

Bready Elementary School students learned what our province has to offer the dinner table when they met Saskatchewan author Amy Jo Ehman at the North Battleford Library.

Thursday Oct. 14 was spirit day at Maidstone High School. The theme was "tight and bright." Students looked forward to this day with excitement and wore lots of bright neon clothing such as tight leggings, headbands and jewelry.

With support from the Saskatchewan Arts Board's Culture on the Go pilot program, the White Birch Ballet Company is performing in North Battleford at Chapel Gallery Saturday, Nov. 27 at 8 p.m. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6:30 p.m.

This year, l'Association Jeunesse fransaskoise (AJF) organized a leadership camp, which was held at Redberry Camp Sept. 14 to 17.

John Paul II Collegiate will be hosting a garage sale in the gymnasium Oct. 30, starting at 10 a.m. and closing around 3 p.m.
