Saturday and Sunday at the Chapel Gallery, the Battlefords Art Club will be hosting their annual show and sale to display and sell beautiful art pieces created by the club's 25 members. The art club members will be joined by several of the Rivers' Edge Quilters and also by members of the Battlefords Photography Club, who will display some of their work. Come and support these hard working artists.
The Battlefords Art Club Show and Sale will begin Saturday evening. Everyone is welcome from 5 to 9:30 p.m. There will be appetizers and refreshments as well as a cash wine bar. Make an evening of it. The show and sale continues Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. Coffee, tea, and refreshments will be served. Make the Chapel Gallery part of your weekend plans to view and purchase unique gifts and art pieces, all by local artists.
The art club has also been busy with a large community project. The club was asked to create a mural for the celebration of the City of North Battleford's 100th birthday. Watch for the unveiling at the City's centennial celebrations on New Year's Eve at the new field house.
The art club welcomes new members who share their love of art. The group meets every Tuesday, 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. If you are interested in joining, phone the club president, Kathy, at 937-3686.
Due to the art club show and sale, the Chapel Gallery's regular Colour Me Artful: Family Open Studio is cancelled Sunday, Nov. 25. The next family open studio will be Dec. 2 from 1 to 3 p.m.
The Chapel Gallery is located in the Don Ross Centre at 891 - 99th St. and is open Wednesday to Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Contact 445-1757.
