North Battleford City Hall has released details about the schedule for budget deliberations happening over the next two weeks.

The budget deliberations are scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 28, Monday, Dec. 3 and Thursday Dec. 6 and will follow a similar format to previous years. 

The Wednesday session will include the general overview of the 2019 budget, followed by presentations by delegations seeking third-party grants.

The schedule for Nov. 28 calls for Transit to make the first presentation at 5:15 pm, followed by the Dekker Centre, North Battleford Boys and Girls Club, Concern for Youth, Midwest Food Resources, North Battleford Golf and Country Club, the Humane Society, The Lighthouse, and finally the Learning Tree Child Development Centre. If all goes according to schedule, the first night of deliberations should wrap by 8:15 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 3 will begin with the presentation for the General Governance Department, followed by Fire and Protective Services, the UPAR program, water services and sewer services. The presentations are expected to last until close to 9 p.m.

The final night of deliberations on Dec. 6 sees presentations planned by Leisure Services, Infrastructure Services and the Planning and Development Services Department. This will cover both the operating and capital budgets.

If deliberations go as planned, the 2019 budget would head to council Dec. 10 for further discussion and possible adoption.  

All budget deliberation sessions are open to the public, and will be held in council chambers beginning at 5 p.m. on each night.
