There is one new case of COVID-19 to report on June 5, bringing the provincial total to 649. The new case is in the Far North region. Of the 649 reported cases, 27 are considered active. Three more people have recovered, for a total of 611.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt RCMP have released more details about an incident where a pedestrian was hit crossing Main Street. Police said they were dispatched to the scene on June 4 at approximately 1:20 p.m.

The Saskatchewan RCMP did not issue any charges related to COVID-19 restrictions for the second straight week. From May 29 to June 4, there were 35 calls for service related to COVID-19. Twenty complaints were for large gatherings of over 10 people.

LANIGAN — A light coloured automobile ran over multiple street signs in and around Lanigan. Police are looking for those responsible. The Humboldt-Lanigan RCMP said the incident happened the early morning hours of May 20.

RCMP officers continue to investigate the two incidents reported to police on June 4, 2020. Investigators have determined the two incidents are not related.

The case against a man charged in connection to numerous break and enter and thefts across Central Saskatchewan was adjourned in Saskatoon Provincial Court. Cody Kemick, 37, had an appearance scheduled on June 3 for plea and election.

The investigation into the house fire Thursday on the 1400 block of 99th Street in North Battleford is now a sudden death investigation.

It’s been a long six month road to recovery for Maurice Draude and his family, but Thursday May 28th, Maurice bade farewell to City Hospital in Saskatoon and returned to his home in Wakaw.
