CARROT RIVER — As the Carrot River detachment of the RCMP enter a new policing year, the biggest criticism they received at their biannual town hall was lack of visibility.

Court dates were set Thursday for Norman Bird, who faces several counts stemming from incidents in the Battlefords area last fall.

The Battlefords RCMP are seeking the assistance of the public in locating 23-year-old Jordan Pritchett of North Battleford.

Fire and Flower is growing. The company, which has a location at 302-114 Street in North Battleford, is acquiring Jimmy’s Cannabis Shops located in Battleford, Estevan, Martensville and Moosomin. Prairie Sky Cannabis Inc. owns Jimmy’s Cannabis Shops.

HUMBOLDT — A meat packing food processing company with an office in Humboldt has exports to China from one of its plants suspended.

An 84-year-old man has died in a rollover. On Thursday, at 9:25 a.m., Battlefords RCMP responded to a single vehicle rollover on Highway 4 approximately 15 miles north of North Battleford.

CARROT RIVER — A series of businesses were broken into in downtown Carrot River. Carrot River RCMP said the crimes were committed in the early morning hours of April 17.

EAST CENTRAL — Saskatchewan farmers have been able to seed five per cent of the 2019 crop from April 23 to 29, compared to the five-year average (2014-18) of three per cent.
