It was a busy weekend for swimming clubs from across the province, including Melfort and Nipawin, as they competed in the provincial championships in Watrous. The Aug. 5-6 meet saw a total of 218 swimmers from 16 different clubs participating.

Replacement of the CT scanner at the Battlefords Union Hospital began Aug. 8. Installing the new machine, along with renovations to the CT room, is expected to take six weeks. Sept. 18 is the planned date for the new CT scanner to be operational.
