Battleford Town Council resolved Monday to apply to the Ministry of Government Relations to become eligible for the Provincial Disaster Assistance Program.

Officials at North Battleford City Hall are anticipating next Monday's debate on the new zoning bylaw and official community plan to be a lively one. A public hearing on the bylaw is set Monday, April 28.

Finlayson Island is taking on water from the North Saskatchewan River. Both sides of the island are flooding as is the north shore trail.

Battlefords RCMP are investigating an alleged robbery that took place at a hotel in North Battleford. According to police the incident happened shortly after 1 a.m .on Tuesday.

It was another busy 24 hours for Battlefords RCMP as members responded to more than 30 calls for service/occurrences between 6 a.m. Tuesday, April 22 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 23.
