Penny Wall's stocking stuffer transformed into a winter vacation when she scratched $100,000 on a Bingo Winter Green lottery ticket.

For Christmas, Penny received a packet containing 10 tickets from her daughter.

Jan. 2, while enjoying breakfast, the Maidstone resident scratched her tickets. On the Bingo Winter Green scratch and win ticket she scratched the second and third lines of the caller's card. At this point she realized she had four corners uncovered to win $100, but also noticed she needed only G46 to complete the "X" to win $100,000.

Her daughter pointed out that there should be another line of Caller's Card numbers to uncover, so Penny kept scratching. The first number she uncovered was G46.

"We were off to the store to have the ticket checked. Once it was confirmed I went to tell my husband.

I asked him if he wanted to go on a holiday. At first he was sceptical, but soon a believer!" explained Penny.

Penny is the second top prize winner on the bingo lottery within the past month in rural Saskatchewan. The other recent $100,000 winner also received her ticket as a gift.
