Accused arsonist seeks bail, again

Gina Beatty was released on bail in May and arrested in June for breaching conditions

PRINCE ALBERT – A woman accused of burning down the Senator Allen Bird Memorial Centre on April 15 seeks bail for a second time.

Gina Pearl Beatty, 24, has another show cause hearing scheduled on Aug. 30 in Prince Albert Provincial Court. Beatty is charged with arson and assault. The charges against her haven’t been tested in court.

According to court documents, she was granted bail on May 24 but was arrested weeks later and charged with two counts of breaching release conditions.

There were no injuries in the fire and it didn’t spread to any other structures or property, say Prince Albert Police.
