North Battleford RCMP responded to about 18 calls for service between 5 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28 and 6 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 29.
Police also investigated four traffic matters, two municipal bylaw complaints, one minor collision and one child welfare matter. Two people were also arrested for alcohol related offences.
Wednesday
• Another suspected attempted fraud by a man arrested and charged Jan. 27 reported. Suspect attended a third business in the city with a fraudulent receipt he attempted to use to obtain cash from the business sometime in the early afternoon of Jan. 27, but on this occasion the receipt was not from the same store chain. Further charges against suspect may be pending as investigation continues.
• Report of a hit and run in a parking lot off Carlton Trail at approximately 5 p.m. Suspect vehicle, described as a grey extended cab truck, hit a parked vehicle and left the scene causing minor damage to the complainant’s vehicle.
Thursday
• Charges pending on an adult woman after a curfew check shortly after 2 a.m. and subject was not at approved residence as required by probation order.
• A 33-year-old woman was arrested and is facing one count of breach of probation after a call of a loud woman buzzing apartments on the 1000 block of 108th Street at 3:51 a.m. She was located by members very intoxicated and in violation of her probation order.
