Armed robbery leaves one injured in North Battleford

Thieves fled on foot towards 12th Avenue.

NORTH BATTLEFORD – An armed robbery at a business on 107th Street in North Battleford left an employee with minor injuries. Shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 16, a male and female entered the business, selected several items, then proceeded to the check out.

“There was a brief exchange of words with an employee when the female suspect produced a handgun, struck the employee in the head with it before fleeing on foot,” RCMP said in a media release. “Both subjects appear to have left on foot north from the area of 107th Street and 11th Avenue towards 12th Avenue.”

While fleeing from the scene of the crime, the suspects discarded some of the clothing they were wearing. The incident is under investigation, and police will release more details as they become available.
