Attempted cat theft thwarted

The Battlefords RCMP responded to 53 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, March 30 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 31. Monday • Complaint of four males jumping on vehicles in a business parking lot off Railway Avenue. No damage to vehicles.

The Battlefords RCMP responded to 53 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, March 30 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, March 31.

Monday

• Complaint of four males jumping on vehicles in a business parking lot off Railway Avenue. No damage to vehicles.

• Report that a vehicle had been damaged sometime over the weekend while parked at a business off of Railway Avenue.

• Complaint of attempted theft of cat from a yard on 21st Street in Battleford. Woman fled from scene in a black four-door car. The cat was left behind and safe.

• Complaint of a Dodge 4x4 driving around tearing up the complainant’s fields close to Delmas.

RCMP also responded to several calls of intoxicated people in public. Other investigations included two  911 Act calls, two Child Welfare Act investigations, three false alarm calls, one Mental Health Act investigation, one missing person report, 10 traffic related occurrences and four disturbing the peace or municipal bylaw related occurrences.
