Battlefords RCMP responded to 44 calls for service over the time period Wednesday June 14th 6a.m. - Thursday  June 15th 6a.m., including but not limited to the following:

12:46 p.m. Report of a stolen truck from a farm outside the City of North Battleford. The vehicle is described as a Dodge Ram 3500 grey in color, SK licence number 191-IZZ, there was also a car trailer attached to the truck.

6:56 p.m. Report of a male outside a residence brandishing an axe in one of the first nation communities south of the City of North Battleford.  The male was uttering threats to harm another male inside the residence. Police arrived and arrested the male with the axe after a brief foot chase. No one was injured during the incident.  Charges are pending the completion of the investigation.

Police responded to 42 other calls for service including Provincial and Criminal Code Statutes.

RCMP would like to remind residents to not leave children or pets inside vehicles unattended for any length of time, especially during the summer months, dehydration and heat exhaustion happen fast.
