Planning is well under way for the second annual Battlefords Best Marketplace and Expo.
The three-day event at the Field House, designed to promote the best in business in the Battlefords, will be held Oct. 24 to 26, once again to coincide with Small Business Week in the city.
A few details about the upcoming event were shared at the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce board meeting Tuesday night.
There have been a few changes to encourage more attendance at this year's event. The name has been slightly changed and the event itself will be on Friday to Sunday, instead of Thursday-through-Saturday last year.
There will be a kickoff luncheon again during the week, but Chamber executive director Linda Machniak confirmed that has been moved to Monday to kick off Small Business Week.
Machniak also confirmed the guest speaker there will be Jeph Maystruck, a marketing expert who was also a guest speaker at the Saskatchewan Chamber's conference in North Battleford last year.
