North Battleford RCMP responded to approximately 43 calls for service between 6 a.m. Tuesday, May 26 and 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 27.
Tuesday
• During the previous night a red Zongshen quad was stolen from a rural residential property outside of Cando.
• At 11 a.m. there was a report made that a vehicle had been stolen overnight from the 200 block of 19th Avenue. The vehicle has not yet been located and it is described as a white 2006 Ford Escape with an Alberta license plate of YZA 952.
• Two bicycles were stolen from children on the 1300 block of 110 Street around 8:30 p.m. Two female youth approached the children and used physical force to take the bicycles from them. There were no injuries. The investigation is ongoing.
• Officers responded to a complaint at 9:49 p.m. that there were people yelling and swearing on the 1000 block of 107 Street. A male youth was located at that location and he was intoxicated. He gave a false name to the officers and when his real name was obtained he was found to be in violation of his probation order. He was charged with obstruction for providing a false name and with failing to comply with his probation order. He was released to appear in court at a later date.
Wednesday
• An officer witnessed a 22-year-old male driver yelling out of his vehicle window at an employee at a business on Railway Avenue East around 12:55 a.m. The officer stopped the vehicle and discovered that the driver was intoxicated and he was subject to an undertaking with conditions to abstain from the consumption of alcohol. He was charged with impaired driving and with failing to comply with the conditions on his undertaking and he was released from custody and with a scheduled court date. There was an 18-year-old female passenger in the vehicle who was on a probation order with conditions to abstain from alcohol and was arrested and charged with breaching that order.
• Two male youths were found in the area after a complaint was made at 3:30 a.m. of teenagers breaking into vehicles on the 1500 block of 103 Street. One male was on a probation order and the other male had an undertaking and they were both found to be in breach of the conditions they had been given. They were charged with failing to comply with their conditions and released for court at a later date.
In addition, there were six disturbances reported, three traffic complaints, one minor collision, two nuisance 911 calls, three false alarms and there were two people reported missing who were found.
