The annual meeting for the Battlefords Ag Society took place Dec. 13 and a new board of directors has been set for the upcoming year.
The board includes Tanya Beland as president, Rhonda Erickson as vice-president and Dana Alexander as second vice-president. Barb Paradis will serve as past president.
Directors elected to a three-year term are Gerald Koopman, Harvey Walker and Irene Greer. Serving a two-year term are Karen Patterson, Slavko Perepeljuk and Tom Pain, and directors with one year left are Kay Berry, John Eberle and Mark Johannesen.
The Ag Society is reporting that memberships are available for $25 per year, and that everyone is welcome to become a member and join the organization.
The Battlefords Ag Society, founded in 1885, is best known for its Northwest Territorial Days Exhibition and Parade, but they are involved in a host of other events as well including the Children’s Festival, 4-H Regional Show and Sale, Canadian Professional Chuckwagon Racing, Progressive Safety Day, Evening Out for Farmers and Friends, the Agrimex Home, Trade and Farm Show, Mistletoe Craft and Gift Sale and Community Garage Sales.
