Bready school has spent the summer redesigning its kindergarten classroom according to new thinking about kindergarten education.
Bready is one of two schools in the division to undergo such a renovation, with Kerrobert also being chosen to receive funds.
The changes to the school result from the new emphasis in kindergarten education on learning through play, but have also incorporated a number of other innovations.
The classrooms were painted in more neutral colours, organized to allow students to choose their own activities and were given a number of new features. These include a listening station with six sets of headphones and a light table.
The renovations have also focused on bringing more nature into the classroom, by incorporating wood structures and plant life.
