More recognition has come to North Battleford product W. Brett Wilson this week.
The entrepreneur and philanthropist, who also appeared as a regular on CBC’s Dragon’s Den, was granted an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from the University of Saskatchewan, at convocation ceremonies Wednesday in Saskatoon.
Wilson, who graduated with a civil engineering degree from the U of S, and an MBA from the University of Calgary, also holds an honorary degree from Royal Roads University in Victoria, B.C.
According to a news release issued by the U of S, “many Canadians recognize Mr. W. Brett Wilson as a force in the business world, a philanthropist and a popular television personality, but fewer realize that his professional journey began with a degree from the University of Saskatchewan. Proof that it is possible to succeed in business without sacrificing principles, Mr. Wilson has been featured on CBC Television’s Dragon’s Den and has built a community that upholds the value of corporate social responsibility.”
