The Humboldt and District Gallery was packed and the models fabulous for the Gallery of Fall Fashion Show on Oct. 27 with all proceeds going to the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery Foundation.

Lana Muggli from Brickhouse clothing brought 13 models and 102 outfits to the full house.

The models had a lot of fun, says Muggli and it was a great push for Brickhouse Clothing.

Muggli says that she loves the artwork that comes through the Gallery and she loves having that cultural place in town.

“I like helping them out. They are such good people to work with. They’ve helped me out.”

This is one of the Museum and Gallery’s many favourite events, says Director Jennifer Fitzpatrick and a great low key use of the Gallery space.

“(Muggli) and her team  at Brickhouse are fabulous volunteer models and had wonderful support from Sobeys and Johnny’s Bistro. Everyone had a really great time.”

As in past years, Muggli donated all the proceeds going back to the Humboldt and District Museum and Gallery Foundation.

Looking at past years, Fitzpatrick says that money raised at previous events went to things like the new signs and replacing emergency doors.

“The Gallery was built based on a lot of work of many people and donors and the work of the Foundation...there are always continual improvements that need to be done, so that money is really essential for us.”

Money raised from this past fashion show will go to the capital projects currently being done at the Original Humboldt site.

Looking ahead even further to 2017, Fitzpatrick says there are plenty of ideas of new projects, especially with 2017 being Canada’s 150th birthday.

“Our focus is on our Original Humboldt site for that and the Foundation has decided that that funding is where it will help support.”
