SHELL LAKE — A business in the village of Shell Lake was robbed at knifepoint at about 2 a.m. Monday, with the robber making off with cash, alcohol and cigarettes.

Spiritwood RCMP say the perpetrator fled in an unknown direction in a vehicle stolen from the business site. The lone adult employee did not require medical treatment and the business was not open at the time of the robbery.

The robber is described as male, approximately six feet tall, wearing a grey hoodie, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. The man wore a mask at the time of the offence.

The stolen vehicle is a red 2013 Nissan Rogue sport utility vehicle with Saskatchewan licence plate 400 JCR.

Police say the man is considered armed and dangerous. If spotted by a member of the public, he should not be approached, police say.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Spiritwood detachment at 306-883-4210 or the nearest police service.
