The North Battleford-backed resolution calling for an inquiry or round table on missing and murdered Indigenous women was not the only resolution to hit the SUMA convention floor Tuesday.
There were 12 other resolutions put forward. All were carried, although the resolution from the Town of Kamsack for expanded golf-cart use carried by only five votes.
Two new resolutions were presented by the resolutions committee. One was in support of municipal revenue sharing at one per cent of PST, which carried unanimously.
The other was in support of immediate implementing a "reliable and fully-funded" Multi-Material Recycling Program, a program that was supposed to launch Jan.1 but which the province has put on hold. That carried decisively as well.
