Charges after rollover into the bush

LOON LAKE — A 24-year-old man from Leask is facing charges after a vehicle crashed into the bush and rolled 1.5 kilometres north of Loon Lake on Highway 26 Thursday. Loon Lake RCMP say when they arrived on the scene at approximatel 5 p.m.

LOON LAKE — A 24-year-old man from Leask is facing charges after a vehicle crashed into the bush and rolled 1.5 kilometres north of Loon Lake on Highway 26 Thursday.

Loon Lake RCMP say when they arrived on the scene at approximatel 5 p.m. members were  advised by witnesses that an adult male and lone occupant of the vehicle had run into the bush alongside the roadway. Police say the witnesses reported the man may have been intoxicated.

After a brief search, Meadow Lake RCMP Police Dog Service was called to assist. The man was tracked through the bush and located 300 metres from the collision scene. He was arrested and treated at the scene by EMS. He did not require hospitalization, police say.
