The North Battleford RCMP detachment received approximately 25 calls for service between 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 27 and 6 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Included in those calls were three false alarms, four traffic investigations/complaints, one Fire Prevention Act,one municipal bylaw/disturbance complaint and one child welfare investigation.
Monday
7:53 a.m. - Complaint of an abandoned vehicle left in a mall parking lot for over a month. Members are trying to locate and contact the registered owner of the vehicle to remove.
12:19 p.m. - Complaint of criminal harassment over Facebook.
2:17 pm - Complaint of spray-paint damage to a sign on 100th Street. No suspects at this time.
3:15 p.m. - Complaint of shoplifting from a local business. A Wii game console was taken. A description of the suspect was given to police. Investigation is ongoing.
4:38 p.m. - Complaint of two women shoplifting at a local business.
4:44 p.m. - Complaint of speeding in a school zone.
5:45 p.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man outside a local business on 101st Street. Members attended arrested the man and lodged until sober.
6:24 p.m. - Complaint of a heavily intoxicated woman inside a local licensed premise. Members attended. The woman was arrested and lodged until sober.
9:09 p.m. - Complaint of an intoxicated man at an address on 108th Street causing problems. Members attended to find the man outside the residence, not heavily intoxicated. He was driven to his residence and advised that he would stay there.
Tuesday
12:49 a.m. - Complaint of an unwanted visitor at an address on 105th Street. The visitor was knocking at the door. Members attended and patrolled the area, however, no one was located.
12:50 a.m. - Complaint of rapid gunfire. At least five shots were heard on 106th Street. No damage. No vehicles or people found in the area after extensive patrols were made. At this time, the noise heard cannot be substantiated as gunfire.
12:55 a.m. - Complaint of a group of people walking and banging on windows on St. Laurent Drive. Patrols made. Results were negative.
2:59 a.m. - Complaint of an erratic driver on Railway Avenue.
4:12 a.m. - Complaint of loud music at an address on 104th Street.
