Deadlines to keep in mind

The following deadlines are for Farm Families enrolled in, or planning to enrol in, the Ministry of Agriculture's Farm Business Development Initiative (FBDI), or the Young Farm Business Development Initiative (YFBDI).

The following deadlines are for Farm Families enrolled in, or planning to enrol in, the Ministry of Agriculture's Farm Business Development Initiative (FBDI), or the Young Farm Business Development Initiative (YFBDI).

FBDI is funded through a five year Federal/Provincial/Territorial Agreement called Growing Forward. This agreement expires March 31, 2013. Therefore, to ensure that you receive reimbursement for your eligible expenses under the Initiative, please review the following deadlines:

If you are using consulting services, please work with your consultant to obtain a final written report by Jan. 31;

All training/learning activities must be completed by Feb. 28;

All requests for payments should be submitted immediately following these dates and must be received no later than March 31.

In order to receive your FBDI financial benefit payment, the process for reimbursement is as follows: complete your consulting services and/or training/learning activity; sign and date the Declaration of Completion form acknowledging completion; complete and sign the Claim for Reimbursement form for each service or activity; attach the original receipt(s); for consulting services, attach the consultant's report.
