Battlefords RCMP responded to approximately 50 calls between 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 28 and 6 a.m. Monday, Aug. 29
Aug. 28
9:06 a.m. - Hit and run to a red truck parked in a driveway on the 800 block of 107th Street overnight.
9:36 a.m. - Report of a 2014 white GMC SUV and a 2003 red Toyota Tercel stolen from Meota. Both recovered in North Battleford later on in afternoon, abandoned.
5:20 p.m. - 44-year-old woman from Edmonton arrested and facing charges of impaired driving and driving over .08 after a report of an erratic driver on Highway 16 near Delmas.
6:59 p.m. - Report of a break and enter to a residence on the 1300 block of 109th Street, believed to have occurred sometime in the previous 24-hour period.
8:05 p.m. - Complaint of an assault on Panton Avenue. No medical attention required. The alleged suspect was no longer in area and matter had occurred sometime prior to report being made. Matter remains under investigation.
9:12 p.m. - Police responded to a report of an assault on the 100 block of 20th Street in Battleford. A male was transported to hospital with head and facial injuries for treatment and has since been released. Matter remains under investigation.
10:41 p.m. - 50-year-old man from North Battleford arrested and facing charges of care and control of a vehicle while impaired and care and control while over .08 after a report of a disturbance near the city of North Battleford.
Aug. 29
2:08 a.m. - A 35-year-old man from North Battleford has been arrested after a report of a man attempting to break into a business on Railway Avenue East. The accused remains in custody and appeared in North Battleford Provincial Court a Monday facing charges of mischief, possession of break and enter instruments and failing to comply with an undertaking.
Police also arrested two people for alcohol related offences and responded to one false/nuisance 911 call, eight traffic matters, two bylaw matters, six disturbances, three false alarms, one child welfare complaint, one Mental Health Act complaint and three minor collisions.
