The Downtown North Battleford organization has announced the return of their Façade Improvement Grants for 2015.
The grant is to “encourage property owners and developers to invest in the renovation or expansion of their property, and to increase consumer and investor confidence in downtown North Battleford,” according to Lisa McEachern, executive director of the Downtown North Battleford, in a statement.
Business or property owners in downtown North Battleford can make an application for the funding with the deadline being June 1, 2015. According to the application guidelines, the grant would solely be for enhancing or restoring the appearance of a street-facing façade and is not intended for general maintenance. Applicants must demonstrate to the Downtown North Battleford organization the work will clearly lead to an improved appearance for the façade.
The amount of the grant is limited to half of projected expenses up to a maximum of $2,500 per façade, and is rebated on inspection and completion of the project.
Last year’s recipients of the grant were Ironclad Safety, Reis Wealth Management and Lifetime Fitness.
