North Battleford Fire Department says it will be testing the flow of fire hydrants in the coming two weeks.
According to a city news release, testing will affect Centennial Park, College Heights, Deanscroft, Paciwin, Riverview, Downtown south of 11th Avenue, and parts of Sapp Valley.
Residents and businesses may experience discoloured water and are advised to let the water flow until it runs clear; the water, though discoloured, is still safe for consumption.
The testing is required by the National Fire Protection Association and insurance underwriters. The city and fire departments thank affected residents and businesses for their patience and cooperation.
